In this webinar, Shift: Action for Pension Wealth and Planet Health reports on the key findings from the Canadian Pension Climate Report Card, released in February 2024. The report analyzes the climate plans of eleven Canadian pension funds. We found that, despite incremental progress, Canada’s largest pensions are moving too slowly to address the climate crisis, especially compared to international peers. In this presentation, we summarize key report findings, outline what actions Canadian pension funds still need to take on climate, highlight promising examples from both Canadian and international pensions, and give you a sense of how your pension stacked up.
